Almost three years ago I read about alkaline versus acid forming foods and it changed my life forever. Not only did nutrition become a part of my life, but I have been very passionate about sharing a message of nutrition. I now look at salads as medicine for my body providing the building blocks for nourishment and health.
With this said, I would like to share with you one of my favorite salad recipes:
Papaya Avocado Grapefruit Salad
- Grapefruit segmented
- Romaine lettuce
- Dijon mustard dressing (you can make your own dressing from tahini butter lemon juice and olive oil)
- Pumpkin seeds, salt and pepper optional
Note: I don’t like putting strict measurements as I believe we have different taste buds and should approach each dish individually. Our body knows best what it wants and needs.
